Faculty and Staff

Aloha kākou!

Welcome to Kaʻelepulu Elementary School, where our students, staff, families, and community partners work together to achieve growth and success for every student. We believe in a whole child approach to learning and as a small school, we try to get to know every child and their unique strengths and needs. Through our Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) we make data-based decisions to ensure that students have appropriate supports in academics, behavior, attendance, health, and social-emotional learning.

Our team utilizes and integrates best practices from a variety of programs to teach Hawaiʻi DOE grade level standards and to make learning engaging and relevant for students, including Project-Based Learning (PBL), philosophy for children (p4c), Choose Love SEL enrichment program, Nā Hopena Aʻo values (HĀ) and ʻāina-based learning. We know that students need co-curricular classes to support their academic achievement and maintain art, music, PE, guidance, and Hawaiian studies in our weekly schedule.

At Kaʻelepulu, we are an ʻohana that supports one another!
